VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH - July 2009

Claudia DukeshireCarolyn Loll

In July we have two VOTMs - Claudia Dukeshire and Carolyn Loll - for their coordination of the Annual Picnic.

Claudia has been a member of BTCNJ for more than 20 years during which time she has given very generously of her time volunteering for such events as Picnic, Ramapo Rally, Bike Bergen and leading numerous club rides. She joined in 1978 as a "C" rider and after two years began racing and won several silver medals in state championship races. She stopped racing in 1984 and became more active in BTCNJ serving as club secretary and membership chairperson. In 1986, Claudia traveled around France by bicycle for one month. She has also participated in many of the club's tours. She has been most active as a volunteer in the last few years gaining the experience that lead to one of our best attended picnics. In her own words - "BTCNJ is the greatest".

Carolyn Loll has been a member for two years. She joined to get more riding experience and to ride more with her children. She claimed lack of experience when asked to get involved in the picnic but gladly agreed to co-chair with Claudia and learn from her. The results are obvious.
