VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH - December 2008 - NICK MANGINO

We are pleased to introduce Nick Mangino, our December volunteer of the month. He is the front rider on the Tandem duo of Nick and Andrea Mangino . In May, when Andrea was our VOM, we thanked Nick for sharing Andrea with us and for schlepping boxes of BTCNJ merchandise everywhere. But the fact is that Nick gives us a lot of his personal time doing this and always does it with a smile. I'm told he personally checks out all new merchandise to see if it is good enough for our club members.

Nick is always willing to help the club with whatever is needed. He even gave up riding the Rally to help sell club merchandise, and he wasn't even officially on the Committee. We're talking about a man who loves to ride, so we know that this was a big sacrifice!

Nick and his wife Andrea have offered their home for club activities and for the storage of club merchandise. Nick is truly a kind, generous man who is a pleasure to be around. He is a real sport and a very hard working club volunteer. The Executive Board fully agrees that Nick deserves this award for all the hard work he has done for the club, all the future work we have in mind for him, and for being so tolerant with our requests for help! After schlepping all the merchandise around, my guess is that Nick is gaining muscle by the minute! Again, we thank you Nick for being a "Class A+" BTCNJ volunteer!
