Volunteers of the Month (VOTM) - December 2007: Garry Song
Our volunteer of the month for January is Garry Song, a BTCNJ member since 1992. This month, we have overlooked a silent rule that we don't
usually give this award to folks just for leading rides but Gary has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty. Garry may have set a record by leading
193 rides this year. All we can say is WOW!!! As an 'A' rider, he may have led the most rides in the shortest amount of time. Hmmm, I wonder how many
total miles he road on his led rides???
If that isn't enough, Garry has graciously stepped up to the plate and accepted the "A" Rides Lieutenant role for 2008. I wonder if he can do that job while riding his bike?
We just want to say "thank you, Garry". You are surely a fine example of leadership for the club.
Challenge for 2008 - Can anyone top Garry's total? Can anyone come close?
