VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH - MARCH 2010

Jan K. Seigel is a prominent personal injury attorney whose practice is based in Ridgewood, NJ. We know Jan as a club member who has written a series of interesting and thoughtful articles entitled “Bicycling and the Law” that appeared in the MasterLink over the past several months. The five articles discuss many areas of accident la w as it pertains to cyclists, focusing on the various aspects of insurance coverage and cyclists rights. I’m sure many ofus have profited from the knowledge gained from Jan’s articles.

Jan’s career includes law degrees from Georgetown University and NYU, Assistant Passaic County Prosecutor, a lecturer for the State and County Bar Associations, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and William Paterson College.

Running a successful private law practice since 1976, Jan is also an instructor with the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) and, fortunately for us, has found the time to contribute his insight and knowledge to BTCNJ.

Congratulation Jan on being Volunteer of the Month for February and for your much appreciated contributions to the club.
