Board Profile - Webmistress:    Paige Hiemier

It seems as though I have been the webmistress for BTCNJ forever! The website was only a few pages when I joined BTCNJ and Bob Demair allowed me to do a complete redesign with the help of Jim Nicholson and Tom Hobbick. And in the years that have followed (since 2004), the website has grown exponentially and really is now divided into several parts - main website, forum, ramapo rally, bergen county bicycle tour and ride submission system (programmed and developed by Soft21). There was a new redesign last year and the rides submission system is set to be redesigned in 2010. Besides the website I design the eletter, rally logo/posters, bergen county bicycle tour poster, manage the databases, manage the website and security, etc. And remember, every Board position is volunteer - not one of us is paid to do any of this work, so please volunteer for the club when you can.

Yes, I am a cyclist...this is the first year in a long time that I have been healthy enough to really ride and am leading the Tuesday/Thursday Ladies Developmental Clinic with Sandie Reilly as my mentor.

I was a NICU/Pediatric ER Nurse at one time and went back to college receiving a diploma in Website Development/Programming and then a B.S. in Network Administration in 2005 (cmputer network). I'm looking forward to working with a new web committee in the near future and perhaps add some new features to the website - time will tell!
