Board Profile - Secretary:    Harriet Einschlag

Hi everyone. I'm Harriet Einschlag and recently became the Membership Chairperson in 2007. I joined BTCNJ early in 2006 because a friend at work was showing me catalogs of beautiful biking trips all over the world. I knew I would never be able to do any trips like these unless I really improved my cycling! My first new member dinner, as an attendee, was a real eye opener to all the club has to offer - cycling, socially, and supportively. I started joining short, local D rides on a heavy hybrid bike and just kept at it, and had a great time meeting all these wonderful people. Now I have a road bike and feel comfortable on almost any c* ride. My next goal is to get in shape to do one of the Europe trips.

I've met such wonderful people in this club and this has made a big difference in my life in the past 18 months. The club has a big variety of talented, supportive, positive members who like being with each other - whether it's riding, socializing, or eating!

I work for the "Feds" and in addition to cycling, I enjoy hiking and love photography!

I have 2 children - a son who is 22 and graduated college, and a daughter who is 25 working on various organic farms on the west coast. That's a long story. I'm divorced, after a 30 year marriage.
