Welcome: New Members!
ANOTHER GOOD REASON FOR RETAINING YOUR MEMBERSHIP IN BTCNJ: THE STORY OF MAX AND FRED.
I have no idea if the following is a true story. BUT, if it is true, you might want to make sure that your membership does not expire.
Max and Fred were best friends for 53 years and were now in their 90's. They had very similar interests.
But it was cycling that really bound them together. They loved to ride. So they decided to make a pact.
When the time came that one of them predeceased the other, he would do his best and try to contact the
surviving friend and let him know if there was cycling in heaven. Not long after they made this agreement, .
Fred passed away. Max was devastated. He missed his pal. One day he was out biking when he heard a familiar voice.
"Max. Max." He looked around, saw nothing. He figured it was just his imagination. Then he heard it again. "Max. Max."
"Is that you Fred?" "Of course it's me Max. I promised I'd get back to you." " I can't believe it. So what's the answer? Do they cycle in heaven?"
"Well. I have some good news and bad news for you. The good news is that they do have cycling in heaven.
They also honor our current membership cards. The bad news Max is that you are leading a B/C* ride tomorrow."
The moral of this story….. Keep your membership current. Don't let it expire. You"ll never know where or when you'll need it.
