Celebrate BTCNJ's 29th Year On The Road!

The BTCNJ Anniversary Party will be held on Saturday, February 24th, 2007 at OLPH, 117 Franklin Avenue, Oakland, New Jersey 07436, from 7:30pm to 11:30pm and will be, as usual, a great success. How can we be so sure, more than one month before the event? Because there are two things we need to succeed and we know we can count on YOU to provide both:

  1. Party-goers on the evening of the 24th
  2. Volunteers before, during and after the party

First, the party-goers. We are limited to approximately 200 people due to space at the hall, so get your check in early. The cost is $35 per member or guest and your check and party registration form must be received by February 21st. At that point, no further reservations will be taken (we need to supply a count to our caterer.) It is important to note that there will be no paid admission at the door on the evening of the party.

To register for the party, either use the registration form in your December or January MasterLink magazines or download it now by clicking here

Second, the volunteers. If you were at the January General Meeting, then you may have already put your name down on the volunteer clipboard that passed through the audience. If not, we would love to hear from you that you are willing to help.

Where do we need help? Following are some of the areas but contact our party organizers for a full list of available volunteer "opportunities":

  • Party Set-up: On Friday evening, the 23th, we will need help setting up tables and any last minute clean-up that needs to be done. On the 24th, in the morning or before the party, we will need help decorating, setting up the silent auction and other last minute details.
  • Party Guest Sign in Teams of two people, each in 20 minute shifts, to check in guest, distribute name-tags, etc.
  • Bartending: again in 20 minute shifts. Imagine not having to wait on line for your drink!
  • Party Clean-up: We try to get everything clean and tidy before we leave on the Saturday evening so no one has to return the next morning. Bring a change of clothes and extend your time at the party by helping us clean up!

Our party coordinators are Steve Greenberg and Maddie Goldman. Contact us if you have any questions about volunteering, or about the party itself.

Mail your check and registration form to Sue Nicholson, 64 Peach Hill Court, Ramsey, NJ 07446

Finally, we need items and services donated for the Silent Auction at the party. For more about that, click here.
