6th BERGEN COUNTY BICYCLE TOUR - SUNDAY, JUNE 6, 2010
We have just received confirmation that we will be able to hold the 6th Bergen County Bicycle Tour on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Bergen Community College. Importantly, for the first time, we (BTCNJ) are going to run the 2010 event exclusively!
We are thus going to ask for a few more volunteers in addition to Ride Leaders such as SAG help, registration and event setup and cleanup. Since 2005 when we became involved with the event, the BCBT has become a very important way for BTCNJ to get new members (we estimate well over 50 new members joined in 2009 as a result of attending the BCBT) as well as maintaining strong relations with Bergen County, which has allowed us to use the Campgaw Ramapo Rally site for the past several years.
We will continue with four rides including a 45, 25, 12-mile ride and the ever-popular 5-mile family ride – probably the highlight of the event! Dennis McNerney, Bergen County Executive will again be invited as the keynote speaker and to give outa number of bicycle related gifts. Hope you can help out and attend.
